Biography: |
Betty Lindely, originally from Minneapolis, Minnesota, moved to Scottsdale in 1990. The colors and essence of the desert and mountains has inspired her to create a spiritual art form. Betty’s artwork has been shown in many and varied venues, including Interior Designing Sisters in Fountain Hills, Arizona, Casa de Artistas in Scottsdale, Arizona, Judy Yates Gallery in Fountain Hills and many art festivals, benefits, and auctions throughout the Valley of the Sun. Betty also won the Best of Show in Sculpture at the 2001 Tempe Arts Festival, a Valley festival that attracts over 800 artists.
Betty has spent over 30 years working with various media to express her spirit. These include pastels, oriental brush painting, and watercolor. Her latest work is with paper pulp, designing unique customized spirit women that speak to the soul.
Betty attended Edina Art Center in Edina, Minnesota for 10 years, studying drawing and painting, winning First Prize in pastel drawing at the Edina Artist Student Exhibit. Today, Betty provides private drawing lessons when not sculpting.
